Additional Comments:
This is my first build hence why I'm posting here. I would like to make sure I am not put off by a bad first experience. As of now, this build costs $971.36 if you count the desktop adapter for wireless network. I would just like to make sure that all parts are compatible, that everything will work fine together and that I don't have anything missing. Please feel free to make suggestions but bare in mind that I would like to stick to $1000 boundary. Thanks to all in advance.

Drop that PSU immediately its garbage and not something i would trust my rig with. Corsair Basiq 550W is what I would go with on your budget.

I would drop the SSD and put more money towards the GPU or a better CPU/Mobo combo along with all the mounting and stuff its not needed the motherboard will come with all the wires you need

Any specific case you'd recommend or would most cases in this price range do the trick?

Its a decent build for its price he picked the parts wisely you can easily upgrade the CPU in the future with the AM3+ board everything is a go from this end, just change the case if you want and put it towards a 7950
