My challenge to all of you is to build a 1000$ MAX BUDGET Pc that can run all games at highest settings with smooth framerates and handle video editing with ease. May the best build win.

Notes:Include OS
Do not include: Monitor, Keyboard, HDD, Optical Drive (Only add a storage device if it's an SSD)

Very solid build, almost tempted to up my budget a bit and swap that CPU for 4790k

If you want the hyperthreading of the i7, but not into overclocking I would look toward the Xeon E3 with the H97 board.

I do prefer the i7 due to having the ability to OC, and I definitely prefer NVIDIA GPU over AMD GPU just because of the larger performance increase in my main game which is World Of Warcraft

How well does that R9 stack up against the 970
 
Change the ram to a 2x8gb kit. It is better, than a 4x4gb kit, and it is cheaper. You will want a bigger PSU, if you ever want to run SLI. 120gb SSD is not going to hold much. A 250gb is a better choice. I would do something more like this.
