[SOLVED] 10100F B560M Pro4 good pairing?

Are the i3 10100F and the Asrock B560M Pro4 a good/optimal pair?
If not, could you send me a link to a good motherboard for the same price? ($100)
The 10100F is already on my desk. and I picked it up for $90 on a sale. Plan to put a 1660 in this rig once I can get one

PS. My NVME SSD is only Pcie gen3 so it doesn't matter if the top m.2 slot is compatible with my CPU. the 2nd will work cause that can still do Pcie gen3

I would say yes, Espescially if you dont wish for overclocking/tuning, just go as it goes and add a memory overclocking support, it will be good enough. My Friend went from B460M Pro4 to B560M Pro4 after 5 months because i told him that his ram kit are going to work on 3200mhz if he uses that one, and now hes running 10400F + 2x8gb @3200mhz CL16.

Pretty much hassle free compared to my friend that uses ryzen, which require to turn the voltage down and overclock it on all core rather than entrusting all on AMD PBO to make it much safer while all core clock is fast enough.

Pcie gen 4.0 is a bonus if you use them, so in this case, all should be more than enough. Just make sure you plug the ram at slot 2 and 4, espescially if you use 3200mhz+ ram kits.

One more question. on Intel's website, it says that the memory type for the 10100F is DDR4-2666. Does that mean it can only max at 2666? or can I set it to XMP (which would be 3200mhz cl16)

You could even overclock it manually, or just buy any 3200mhz++ kits and activate XMP to save the day. DDR4 2666 Max is the max standard clock you will get on non overclocked/xmp mode, and ram OC always depends on the motherboard, if it allows it, then the cpu max doesn't matter anymore. Yes, you could even run DDR4 4000 kits and run them on 4000Mhz if you wanted to.
