1024X768 a weird resolution to play games on a 21 inch lcd monitor?

I have to ask because i have always used 1024X768 on games and my desktop resolution. Anything better makes the picture seem smaller or fuzzy or just plain weird, it is a wide screen btw, idk if that factors in anything. Maximum resolution is 1440X900.

The only "better" resolution that is comfortable to look at is 1280X800, and it makes my task bar to small.

I have a 19 inch running on 1440x900 and it looks fine. on a 21 you should have a much higher resolution.

LCD monitors are best at native resolution, but if you are having problems with seeing things then you could always set icons to large size and DPI of text large as well..


Also have you had your eyes checked recently, no jokes!

Native resolution on a 21 inch should be 1680x1050. Anything other than that will probably look fuzzy.

1024*768 is a 4:3, if your monitor is 16:9 or 16:10, it's not going to look right as it has to stretch the image
