So I am gonna put this in a quad core 8200 cpu build.... both graphics cards will bottleneck I know but don’t know what to buy.... if I got the 1050 would I be able to sell easier?

Here in Canada the price dif is $40

What would you guys get

Solution
with only 40$ different, i would go with 1050 it's newer and better, also it would be easier to sell it 2nd hand later on

although yes, the bottleneck would be pretty significant here, u will have to experiments with settings in order to put the burden on GPU heavily, if not, your CPU will hold u back [ur CPU are a pretty much on par with my old pentium G850, they will hold u back in most games]

I agree on the EVGA card above.

I'll discuss bottleneck and your system, but I'd still get the GTX1050 simply for resell, driver support etc. Does not support VGA. NVidia has dropped support completely.

Not sure what "bottleneck" part you meant but your CPU is most likely to be the bottleneck though it varies by the game a lot. Actually, not sure if any game would be GPU limited with a Q8200 + GTX1050.

In SKYRIM (original, vanilla) for example the FX-4300 which is maybe 50% faster than your CPU per core (yes AMD core/module is confusing then) and it would have limited the GTX1050 for sure.

Conversely though, the recent DOOM game using Vulkan is good at using multiple CPU cores so even if you have a CPU bottleneck it should give a good experience.

I belive the Q8200 + GTX1050 would get roughly 40FPS on MEDIUM settings in DOOM.

Looks like a CPU bottleneck still in DOOM based on the videos.
