[SOLVED] 1050 Ti or 660 Ti?

Hi,
in a few weeks I will be upgrading my pc and im not sure if I should buy a 1050 ti brand new or a 660ti from my friend for $30

I am on a tight budget and im looking to play so games.

How much more performance will i get from a 1050ti than a 660ti?

Current Build:
AMD Fx 6300
GTX 750ti
8GB DDR3

Upgrade:
Ryzen 1600
1050ti or 660ti
8/16 GB DDR4

A 1050 ti would be better for a lot of reasons.

One, it will run on a lower capacity power supply, so having a high capacity unit isn't as much of a factor. You still want to have a quality unit though. Do not use a cheap PSU with any gaming card. It's a bad idea.

Two, the 1050 ti will have a warranty. Graphics cards are notorious for dying, so having a warranty only makes sense. Even if the older card is on ly 30 bucks, it's 30 bucks you'll be out if it takes a dive. Plus, it will be 30 bucks you COULD have put towards the better card, but now you can't.

Three, the 1050 ti will whoop the crap out of that 660 ti. And those are all the reasons you really need not to buy an old, tired, used card.
