I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 with 2048 gb of video ram, i am currently trying to play sekiro shadows die twice, system requirementslab.com says I need at least 4096 gb of video ram to run it on recommended settings, so idk if whether to buy another 1050 except this one has 4gb of ram or to buy a 1060 with 6gb of ram for more money. I want to buy the 1050 because its a little cheaper but I'm not sure if it'll be enough because the game says 4096. I'm still fairly new to this computer stuff so if I'm missing something obvious please let me know. (idk if the 4gb also includes the extra 96 i need for sekiro, if it does please let me know as well)

Solution
The 1050Ti may be cheaper but it is also much weaker than a 1060/1660.

Or you could go with an 8GB RX580 which is similarly powerful to a 1060 but much cheaper.
I would try it on your 1050 before dropping money on a new gpu. Most games should run, just with low settings, so id assume you would have a decent experience at 1080p low. The 1050ti has enough VRAM, butA 1060 is a massive step up from the 1050ti, so if it's between 1050ti or 1060, get the 6gb 1060.

Okay I'll try it out as is now and if i don't like the way it performs I'll have to break out the old piggy bank for this 1060

do you know why its so much cheaper?
Part of it is due to Nvidia dominating market share, so tons of people simply decide to buy what everyone else already has. Another large part is that AMD keeps screwing up marketing by introducing products at price points nobody cares about, so they end up missed when most people who don't know beforehand about AMD's GPUs go shopping by price.

Reliability-wise, if someone has to RMA an RX580 multiple times, either they have exceptionally bad, something they are doing is killing the cards or there is some other weirdness going on. If this sort of failure rate was remotely common, manufacturers would go bankrupt.

RX580 multiple times ...It was 3 different Sapphire RX 580 8GB cards 2 LE and 1 SE...All replacements running fine for a few months. Just a hassle waiting for the RMA process. All 3 in different setups. No mining or OC. 2 of them the ports died , 1 just died completely.
