Hi
I have a 1680x1050 p Lenovo monitor. I want to capture video games. I have been doing it with Nvidia shadow play.

Is there a way to record my gaming footage as 1080p ? I can play games at 4x adaptive resolution at 60fps.

YouTube currently accept 16:9 videos. They accept 16:10 too but they apply black side bars to cover the video player's area.

Is there a way for me? Can I cheat my pc? Should I use other programs? If I buy a recorder like elgato will I be still recording 16:10 ?

What other people who have wide-screen 1440p monitors do for their gaming channels?

Well 144p is still 16:9 so it scaled down properly without bars.

Easier way would be to get a new monitor. lol. I think a capture card is just going to record what you play and even if it did convert it, it would squish it or make bars since your trying to from 16:10 to 16:9.

Thanks for answer. My aim is to buy a 16:9 4k monitor when I have budget.

I meant the screens which are 21:9 . Many people can play with those monitors on fullscreen.

I really wish there is a method for my request. Otherwise I will stretch my videos to cover the 16: 9 area.
