[SOLVED] 1050ti vs RX570

I can't decide if i should buy gtx 1050ti or rx570. GTX 1050ti is asus strix oc version and RX570 is Expedition 4gb. I want to get 1050ti because i don't have a good psu with 8pin just 6pin so that's the reasone i want to get 1050ti. I don't have a good cpu so i don't think a would get anything more from rx570. What do you think i should get. Price is pretty much the same.

The RX 570 is a better GPU. Dollar for dollar, it would be the better buy regardless of what CPU/PSU you can get, and would get better performance, as well

Monitor is HP 22es 60hz 1080p 22"
PSU is 400w 80+ I think
CPU Amd Phenom x4 965 3.4ghz and i want to upgrade to ryzen 3/5 some day.

That's actually a weak CPU. It might create a bottleneck as well, when paired with any mid-range/high-end GPU. List the exact Model number/brand of your PSU.

As with any serious modifications to a computer build, it is highly recommended to purchase a new PSU for your system. Older PSU's can become unreliable and destroy parts or your complete computer.

Even a good 400w isnt a goood idea with a 570. But since the 570nperforms so much better, it is worth it to get a psu.

I'm from Serbia. But i just want to get a better gpu so i can play R6 Siege. And i think I'll buy 1050ti.

You circumstances complicates things somewhat. As mentioned above, the RX 570 is a better graphics card (compared to the GTX 1050 ti) but your upgrade plans and current hardware makes it an unwise choice.

As the others are essentially suggesting, it's probably best to upgrade the PSU with the graphics card. Both of those can then be carried over to the CPU, motherboard and RAM upgrade later.

No way i would run a 1060 or 570 on that psu. Even a 1050ti would be a streatch.

It only has 14 amps on the 12v rails making it effectively an ancient sub 200w psu.

I would concoder uograding a psu regardless of what gpu you buy. Can you afford a corsair cx450? The cx450 would be fine with a 570, 1050, or 1050ti.
