1060 / 1070 / AMD alternative for longevity?

I'm considering upgrading from my R7 370 2GB. I was thinking about a 1060 but I worry about the lifespan I can expect from it before I need another upgrade. There's also the AMD route which I would be fine with too. Would a 1060 6GB or an AMD alternative game at 1080p/60fps with at least medium settings on most games for at least 2 years? If so which would be best, a 1060 6GB or the AMD alternative? Or should I save up for something more powerful like a 1070?

Also, my CPU is an AMD FX-8320. It shouldn't bottleneck, right?

8320 is pretty old and obsolete now for modern cards. But for 1080/60hz 1060/580 should be plenty for most games at medium to high settings.
