1060 3gb i5 7400 or 580 4gb rz 1400

which one should i get 1060 3gb and i5 7400 or 580 4gb and ryzen 1400
which one will perform better there are two kinds of hp pavilion pcs using these specs so which one should i get

Tossup. I'd probably opt for the 580/Ryzen simply for the extra VRAM on the card. Plus, the 1060 3GB is a tad slower than the 1060 6GB.

I would want the 580/1400. The extra vram is nice. Plus I think the quad i5 will show it's age quicker. The 1400 is a quad, but has smt(hyperthreading), so it acts now like an 8 core. If games start going towards using more threads, then the ryzen will probably handle that a little better. But if nothing else, the 580 is at least as strong as the 1060. Plus the extra gb of vram may come in handy as games begin using more textures details etc.
