Hi, I already have a full build which includes a 960 2gb and an i5-4590. The 2 gb of vram is not enough to handle many games at ultra so I'm thinking of upgrading to either to 1060 or 1070. I'd like to save some money and just get the 1060 but I'm thinking of streaming some games, mainly csgo, h1z1, bf1 and forza horzion 3. Would the 1060 be enough to handle everything and give decent fps? I also have a question about my ram. I've had g skill rip jaws for about 4 years now almost 5. It's two sticks of 4 gigs so 8 in total. I want to upgrade to 16, would it be smarter to save some money and get 8 gigs more or would it be more beneficial if i throw the old ram away and get 2 sticks of 8gbs of ram. I heard it's better to have all ram slots filled so I was just wondering what I should do. Thanks in advance.

1070 is really the best bang-for-your-buck card I can recommend. It has amazing performance given it's price per frames. As far as streaming goes; you are aware that's extremely CPU intensive, right? While your GPU plays an important role, multitasking (I.E playing the game, running a browser, and streaming using OBS) puts a lot of stress on the CPU. I've personally tried streaming with an i5-4690k and it didn't go so well. I mean, it worked, but not how I intended.

Also, you need to see if you even have reliable enough internet, especially if you're not anywhere near a Twitch zone to connect from.

I'm assuming it's 1333mhz DDR3, correct? RAM is important, but 16gb isn't something an everyday gamer needs at the moment. It's nice to...

It's not "better" to have them all filled. You should ONLY fill the RAM if you're intended on maxing the DRAM. If your mobo only supports 32gb, use all four slots to max it. For what you're doing, 32gb is definitely not needed. Stick with 8gb (if you want new RAM sticks go ahead), or go to 16gb if you just want peace of mind for the future.

You should always buy as much GPU as you can afford. The 1060 would likely be fine for 1080p gaming but of course if you can shell out a little extra for a 1070 it's not going to hurt. RAM at least IMO you have always really needed 16gb, not 8 as the internet is so fond of saying. 8 is fine if all you ever do is play a game, but come on, who ONLY plays a game? You want to have streaming software, maybe shadow play, a web browser, possibly some tunes playing... all that stuff needs RAM too, so sure 8 MIGHT be OK for the games you play, but every application you add on top of your game needs some RAM as well... and also CPU threads... see what I don't like about all the stuff out there saying an I5blah blah this or that with 8gb of ram is all you need for gaming is misleading, because it treats a computer like an XBox and assumes all you are going to do at any given moment is run a game. Anyway, you can pick up 16gb of ram on Ebay or Craigslist for less than $60 if you look. As long as you stick to even numbers (2 or 4 sticks) you are fine. You can't get dual channel support with 1 or 3 sticks. After that long answer I'd say get the 1070 if you can afford it, but definitely upgrade to 16gb of ram and if it hurts your budget too much, get the 1060. You could also probably get a used 980ti for about the same price though, they can be had on ebay for about $300-350
