I am looking for a new gpu which will last for a while with newer games and run them well on 1080p. My current specs are:

Operating system - Windows 7 Ultimr 64-bit SP1

CPU - Intel Core i7 930 @ 2.80GHz

RAM - 10GB Triple Channel DDR3 @ 534MHz

Motherboard - ASUSTeK Computer INC. P6X58D-E

GPU - Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 2047MB

Monitor - BenQ GW2760 (1920x1080@60Hz)

Storage - 931GB SAMSUNG HD103SJ ATA Device (SATA)
59GB Crucial c300-CTF DDAC064MAG SCSI Disk drive (SSD)

My current system is old and I am buying a new gpu first then I will move it over to a newer system once I get the money (Will probably move psu over not sure really it’s a Vega supernova gold 600-650w). Right now I have around £300 maybe a bit more to buy a gpu and I’m thinking about waiting to Black Friday to purchase one.
Any advice would be great
Note: only buying new as no way to know if a card has been used for mining

You definitely should wait till after the 20th to see what the new models will be priced at and how that will effect the current models prices. Personally if it comes down to a 1060 6GB or a 1070 or 1070 Ti and you can afford any of them I'd go for the 1070 Ti. I don't buy parts often but when I do I want the best I can afford at the time.

I always feel you should have a smile on your face when you turn your rig on. You don't want that pang regret of not getting what you really wanted spoiling that.
1060 GTX is enough for 1080p. An RX 580 4GB is also a good choice. If you go for the 1060 GTX, you need the 6GB version since it is another model almost entirely.

However, if you got a good deal on any of the above, jump on it.

Your system is still okay for 1080p up to a 1070 GTX. After that, you will meet bottleneck with your CPU. Bottleneck will diminish the higher the resolution get.
