I am new to pc building and when I built my first rig last year, I noticed that it was loud. I was messing around with the fan controls and found out that it was the graphics card.
The noisy card is the Evga 1060 FTW and I bought it used last year. I was able to ignore the noise with headphones or increasing the volume on my speakers but it gets annoying after a while.
I looked online for gpu fan control in the nvidia control panel but the it didn't have the preformance tab for fan control. Then I tried to update it to the latest version but it still didn't have the preformance tab.
How can I reduce the noice coming from the gpu?
System:
Asus Gaming z170 (sorry don't remember exact board)
2 x 8GB DDR4 2133
EVGA 1060 FTW 6GB
i7 6700k
