Hi All,
I bought this card about 30 days ago and just noticed in my case that the fan wasn't spinning. I was playing GTA 5 and noticed my temps were 92... I checked the fan and it wasn't spinning.
I reinstalled EVGA precision, tried playing with the fan cable and pushing in the fan; one of these things worked but I'm not sure which. I had already got a RMA from EVGA because they suspected it was faulty.
My question is, would a faulty 1060 not spin the fan at 90c, if I had wrong/faulty settings in precision? I am wondering if the settings were messed up... but I dont understand how I could have messed it up enough to not run the fan at all? I dont know this is the case but I am wondering about fail safes within the card to prevent stuff like that from happening.
I am strongly considering returning the card just to ensure there was no long term damage. I am betting the card was at least 92+ for extended periods of time.
Thoughts? Thanks
