1060 not working well

I saw some benchmarks on youtube, and the average fps on far cry primal for a 1060 was 60 (on ultra settings) and on my 1060 I get 40 fps (low settings. My cpu is a intel 6700hq 2.6 ghz

first i would make sure that you have the most recent drivers for you gpu. I would also make sure that integrated graphics is turned off in you bios. And obviously make sure your monitor is plugged into you gpu.
