Question 1060 or 580 mined ?

Hi need a suggestion, I have I5 4590 which one should I buy 165$ (23000 PKR) Inno3D or PNY GTX 1060 6GB with complete accessories used (not sure about minning) or GTX 1060 6GB Zotac amp! or Sapphire Nitro + Rx 580 8GB used with complete accessories for 160$ ( 22500 PKR) used in minning for 1 month.... Btw will upgrade to GTX 1660 or GTX 1070 after 6-7 months ....

Either would pair well with that CPU however you need to be careful with mined GPU's. If there owners increased fan speed, lowered voltage and maintained them well then there fine to buy however if they didn't then you have no idea how long they'll lasts before you experience artifacts or them breaking completely.

yea that's the biggest issue man here people don't know that what there're actually doing with card ... btw 2-3 months mined card can last for how much months any idea will change the card in 6-7 months

No idea how long it will last which is why I'd never buy a mined GPU unless I knew the owner.

How much are those cards new in your area? Getting a used 580/1060 6gb only to go up to the 1660/1070 seems like a waste of money. I would just save up for the card you want and just use lowered settings for now.

recently sold I5 3570 and GTX 970 and upgraded to 550W psu and I5 4690 and yea about 90% are mined. Not sure that people are telling truth or not, that it's used in mining or not ....

The OP was talking about PKR currency earlier so I don't think that is a viable choice.

Well it seems your really down to two choices, take a risk with a mined GPU or use your iGPU until you can afford the 580/1060 6gb/1070/1660(ti) new.

If its had a different bios flashed, you will want to flash it again to have the correct bios for normal gaming use, or you could end up with much worse gaming performance.

That is a bit of an odd upgrade also, you just went up a little bit in CPU power, and 970 to 580 or 1060 is not a big upgrade either. You pretty much went one rung higher, not much of a difference. Both 1060 and the RX 580 are maybe 15% faster than the 970, depending on the game.

I'd get either of the cards and stick with it, especially if you are running the system at 1080 resolutions. There is no way to know when getting used cards which will be better for reliability.

Really the thing to do was to have asked before you sold your other parts, should have just kept them and then upgraded to a newer CPU and video card.
