Hi,
Can someone please clear up my oc'ing problem. I bought some Geil PC 8500 1066MHz ram because it wasn't much dearer than 800MHz ram and mildly OC'd my E6400 to FSB 350 2.8gig.
My Mem Freq when i set a 1:1 ratio is SPD 800 700, So my RAM isn't really being pushed right? Then if i set my MEM Freq to auto 2:3 ratio i get SPD 800 1050 which i'm guessing is making the Ram work a bit faster right? But now my machine crashes under load.
So my question is am i seriously missing the point here or am i guessing right and i just need to add a bit more juice to the DDR2 Voltage or something.
Sorry if I'm being a no brainer here, help always appreciated.
Cheers,
Panface.
