Hello,

i just made my system earlier today, specs are :

xfx nforce 680i LT
xfx 8800 ultra
4gb ram kingston 1066mhz hyperxtreme
quad core extreme 6800 2.93ghz

problem is that in nTune it shows my ram is 800mhz and in cpu-z 400mhz
system crashed 3 times at least so far in few hours, i think its related to the memory thing . is it that the motherboard doesn't support 1066mhz and making this problem ? i didn't build the system myself , i took it to a shop and told them that i'm not sure about the motherboard but they said they configured 5 systems with these specs and work fine so yea , i'm not sure myself whats the problem ._.

you might need a bit more voltage to your ram,
whats it set to in the bios?
are you using XP, Vista 32bit or Vista 64 bit?

Your 680i will default to 800mhz RAM speed because it does not natively support PC8500 speed. In BIOS increase memory voltage to Mfg specs, 2.2v. Then you can manually increase RAM speed to run above 800mhz. HTH.

i just did increase the memory voltage to 2.2v , but i have no idea to increase the ram speed manually

In BIOS, set the RAM configuration to 'manual'. You should then be able to set the RAM Timings and adjust the speed. I do not own the MB, so I am not familiar with the BIOS configuration. If your system is crashing, you might bump the memory voltage up a notch from 2.2v
