[SOLVED] 1070 for 2560x1080

and I'm running a Dell ultrawide monitor which has a resolution of 2560x1080 and I am very pleased with it.

The 1060 I have now is great and WAY better than my old 960 but when I jumped to 2560x1080 the performance dropped and in games like Battlefield V everything runs fine at medium but when I turn the settings up its playable but not exactly a wholesome experience. So I figured I'g get a new card and this 1070 fits the budget I want to spend and seems to be a nice card, But will it give me the extra performance that I want so I can play most games Like BF V, FarCry 5 and other newer titles on high/ultra setting or is a 1070 not worth getting because the performance isn't too much better. I play BFV as well (my wife does too). She's running a 6GB 1060 as her old card couldn't play BF1 (I think it was am EVGA 770 SC). I agree with Hellfire13, get a 1070 Ti and you'll be golden.

I am playing on a 1440 monitor, G-Sync, with a 1080 Ti I just picked up used (it's working well) and I am CPU bottlenecked. Graphics are on High, not Ultra, as my i7-3770K, at 4.5Ghz, can't keep up. I'm over 100 fps most of the time, but I am sure if I got a new CPU, Mobo, and Ram, I would be doing that and more on Ultra settings.

I haven't even OC'd the GPU, since, again, CPU is running 100%.

EVGA offers a very nice warranty, so if you were to find a used 1070 Ti, as long as it physically looks fine, chances are it's still covered by their 3 year warranty (applies to the actual card, not the owner, so it can change hands a lot). Also, they offer B-stock at a discount, you might get lucky with that option at evga.com.
