I have no idea which graphics card to get I am wanting a good pc for a low budget of about £1300-£1500. I am thinking the 1080 or 1070 would be best as it is update with modern tech and the 1070 is said to be better than the titan X (is this really true?).

my build
intel i7 6700k
in win 503
250gb samsung ssd
1tb hhd
16gb vengeance corsair ram
Asus Z170 pro gaming motherboard
power supply (don't know yet but based in on £50-60)
OS £60-70
At the moment my build is £677 without a graphics card or monitor (the monitor is £200-300 and I don't know what I'm getting yet)

I just wondered how good the 1070 would be at 1080p on most games(unlikely, but possible 1440p), what the frame rates would be and how much better the 1080 is for the price as its a little out of my price range.

Is the GeForce GTX 1070 Aero any good as its one of the cheapest 1070s at the moment and from a well know company?

Thanks

I tend to stay away from brands I have never heard of before. Let someone else be the guinea pig and test them.

Also, if you wait until the supply catches up with the demand, you will save about $200 over most of the prices I see today.

As for which of the two cards to buy, look at the reviews. See what settings they used when doing the review. Which CPU was used. Compare a,ll of those things with the hardware you have now, Look at the prices. The 1080 has a list price of $579. The 1070 has a list price of $379? Those are reference card model prices. Founders version cards are $75 to $100 above those prices, and then the greedy market accounts for the HUGE demand at the moment. The prices will driop as supply increases. Be patient.
Only get the 1080 if you expect to try gaming in 4k, or want a bit higher FPS in 1440p. The 1070 will destroy 1080p, and averages around 70 FPS in high 1440p settings. If you feel you need more than that, go for the 1080, but the 1070 has a better $/performance ratio
