1070 sli is it good

Hello. I have a Ryzen 1700x with 16GB of ram and a GTX 1070 (Gigabyte) on ASUS x370 pro motherboard. I wanna know how much would i gain with buying another gtx 1070 card. Im playing on 1440p. 40% maybe? And is an SLI even an option for my motherboard.

SLI is possible with the X370 chipset. Some games do benefit from SLI but some don't. And the ones that do can have varying performance. The games that do perform well with 2x GTX 1070 SLI can perform around the same as a single GTX 1080 Ti. It would be up to you and the games you play to determine if the cost of another card for SLI would be worth it or not given that some games do not benefit from it. The general consensus among long-time experts is that SLI is not worth it since a single, faster GPU is more effective across the board.

Thanks for the quick reply. Mostly i play BF and CS. But that to me is just not worth it then. Better build a new PC in a year and a half then with intel and 1080 Ti, or 2080 Ti since i use my PC 95% only for gaming
