1070 ti i5 6600k, 450 watt psu?

So I have a cooler master v450 80+ gold, i5 6600k and a gtx 970, would I be able to get a gtx 1070 ti and run it with the 450 or should I buy a bigger power supply first, current specs: https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/list/2h2KpG

probably could as it is gold rated but why risk it? you could protect your investment for under a hundred bucks it's a no-brainer.

Get a bigger Power supply. Even 80+ Gold 450w would be tight. 550W Good unit will be minimum.

I would say that get minimum 750 watt. My pc is running an i5-7600k and 1060 6gb and I use a 750 watt psu. Having a higher wattage will make sure your gpu gets enough power.

Higher wattage doesn't necessarily mean more power to your GPU. Some high wattage PSU's in fact deliver less power to the GPU, because they have weak 12v amperage, on the 12v rail/rails.
