1070 Underperform ?

hello

i bought a new pc few days ago
with a 1070 g1 oc
but it gives me 60 fps on games like csgo and 200 fps on mc
i deleted the drivers and downloaded it again it gave me 140 on csgo on low settings
my gtx 650 ti was giving me 300 fps on csgo low settings
please help me guys 🙁

I doubt it's your card. There's been plenty of people with 1070's & 1080's who complained that CS:GO is getting worse FPS then older video cards. As CS:GO is an older game, it's possible it's a support issue with the game itself.

Without knowing anything about your monitor, it almost sounds like CS:GO was set through the drivers to run vsync on a monitor running a 60Hz refresh, and maybe that setting got cleared out when you uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers.

(I know Radeon drivers let you set Frame limits on a per-game basis, and I am assuming Nvidia drivers have the same capability)

Also - 300fps is pointless. The human eye doesn't work that way. I'd strongly recommend vsync and the fastest speed your monitor refreshes.

The other problem is that if your monitor is 60Hz, your eyes won't notice a difference between say 60fps or even 1000fps.

Although your eyes won't see a difference you get a lower latency by having a more up to date image displayed which competitive players claim they can notice.

Yeah, I know they *claim* they can notice... Admittedly, I find those claims highly dubious.

But what difference does the lower latency make if your eyeballs have greater latency?
