[SOLVED] 1070 with i7 7700HQ vs 1060 with i7 8750H.

I have 2 laptops that im looking at and one is i7 7700HQ with 1070 card and other is i7 8750H with 1060 card. Ram and everything is is same except the 7700 with 1070 is a 17.3 in laptop. Which is better option?

The 1070 will most likely give you better gaming performance.

Depends on what you plan on doing with it. For gaming usually the CPU is less important (not always, game specific) so it would be better to have the better GPU of the 1070.

If you plan on using the laptop for other things, like movie editing, streaming, etc that will require more CPU go with the 8750 and 1060.

personally unless you really need the portability I would just build a computer.

But since both are MSI can I just upgrade the 1060 eventually? long story short what is better option long term at 1100 for both. and the 1060 only has 8gb of ram not 16 like the 7700 with 1070

I don't believe they are up-gradable unless they have a Thunderbolt 3 Type C port in which you could get an external GPU.

If movie and photos are going to be a primary use I would skip the better GPU in favor of the 8750H which is better for those applications.

Here is the dilemma gentleman. I wont play hard hard core games like battlefield V but a lot of steam, blizzard games KF2, LOL, StarCraft, diablo etc etc.
