I recently upgraded from a gtx 1050ti and i5 7600 to an 8600k and 1080. I mostly play Rainbow Six Siege and I was hoping I could get a constant 144+fps on low @ 1080p but to my surprise I often dip below into the 120-30's. I've tried reinstalling drivers, windows and tweaking nvidia settings but nothing fixed my issue. I overclocked my 8600k to 5ghz and saw a small improvement. I doubt it is a thermal bottleneck because my gpu runs at around 70c and my cpu in the 60's. I also play the game on all low without AA. Any ideas? Thanks.
