1080 GPU wattage

Hey guys, I am trying to upgrade my current GPU which 970 to 1080, but I am not sure if my PSU can handle it, I have got Corsair VS650. will it be enough or do I need a new PSU?

A standard GTX 970 is a 145W card, whereas the GTX 1080 is a 180W card.

Normally, I'd say 650W is plenty, but, as Rob says, the VS series from Corsair is not exactly a high quality unit.

Seasonic would be my first choice for a PSU.

Something from Seasonic or SuperFlower, or the higher end ranges of Corsair and EVGA.

600-650w will still be fine in a better quality unit.
