1080 GTX - Tempory PSU Solution

I currently run a Gigabyte GTX 660 Windforce along with a AMD FX-8350 and a Corsair VS450 PSU.

In a few days I am getting a GTX 1080 Windforce, I have seen a few articles/threads that say this PSU is enough for this sort of setup, but it's recommended to upgrade to something better as soon as possible.
In a month or two time I plan on upgrading my PSU to a Corsair CX650 and a Carbide 100R case. Until that point when I am able to do/afford that will my system be okay.

I would wait till you have the CX650w.

Can the PSU run it...PROBABLY YES , but should you wait...YES.

With a lower end PSU , best not to push it.

I wouldn't even attempt to run it for any reason, not even 'just a little bit to see if it works'.

You can hit spikes above 300W with the 1080. Just wait. You'll be even sorrier if you break your new GPU for lack of a good PSU.

Yes the CX650 , the black and silver version is decent and plenty of power.
