Recently purchased a 4k tv. I have been playing at 1080 and it kind of seems to me like it looks worse than it did on my last 1080 monitor. Can anyone confirm that this is a normal thing or is there a way to fix it. i have an msi r9 390. I'm waiting on the new vega cards so that's why i bought it and i thought what the hell i'm going to get a 4k tv anyways. Anyways i have an r9 390, i5 660k, and the tv is a lg 43UH61.

Another thing to try out is to mess with all the different settings, not just the Motion Interpolation. If things start really looking bad then just do a quick total reset of the tv setup settings and start playing around again until you find how you like it.
One thing I just thought of also. When I bought my parents a 58" 1080p tv I noticed that it sort of seemed grainy but it was the same as my own personal 40" 1080p tv, things were just bigger so it was easier to notice better/worse quality.
Its always possible it could be something like that. Good Luck :)
seems decently better but still looks a little grainy.
