[SOLVED] 1080 or 1440 2700ryzen with 1060 6g want to play ~100fps

Solution
On modern AAA games, you are not going to get 100fps a 1060 unless the settings are turned way down (1080p or 1440p). The 1060 is a 60fps @1080p card. If you want more than that, you should look at a 1070 or higher.

As far as refresh, if the system is pushing 100 fps on a 144hz monitor, you will only get 100fps. What will happen is call screen tearing. It is very common on both PC's and consoles. Where they system is pushing a different framerate than the monitor refresh rate. For a computer you can enable vsync which will sync the refresh rate and fps output, but there is lag with vsync. If you have a Nvidia GPU and a gsync monitor, it will so the same thing but eliminates the lag.
