I recently bought a 1080 Ti AMP! Extreme Core Edition 11GB. It worked fine for the first month, but I just bought an ASUS PG348Q, and now when I play a game in 3440x1440p the game will inevitably freeze. (Rocket League, BF1. Skyrim SE etc) The only way to get out is to Ctrl+Alt+Del and open the task manager or sign out. Nothing turns off, no need to restart.
I tested my old 980 Ti by benchmarking it in Unigine Superposition, then playing BF1, then the benchmark again. No freezes. Put in my 1080 Ti and didnt freeze in first bench, froze after 10 minutes in BF1, then froze in bench. Ctrl+Alt+Del worked to get me out. then PC acts normal.
I dont know what the issue is and I have run out of ideas. Do I need a new GPU? Ive read it could be a PSU issue not giving the 1080 Ti enough juice.. I have a 2 1/2 yeaer old EVGA G2 Supernova 750W 80+ Gold.
ANY HELP is appreciated. I do not know what else to do.
