Question 1080 ti oc crashing in games and benchmarking

I just recently bought a ROG 1080ti oc video card and im getting constant crashing running games and benchmarking tools.

Current Setup:
CPU: ryzen 7 2700x
Mobo: ROG b350f
Graphics: ROG 1080 ti oc 11g
Memory: GSKILL Ripjaw V 3200 2x8gig
Power Supply: Corsair tx650w

ive tried just about everything that i can think of to do and i am stumped, in anything where i can cap the fps at like 120 and not really stress the card i can play mostly anything. its currently under rma still so i have the option if needed.

Since post I've downloaded the asus GPU tweak. There is 3 options to choose from in app oc mode, gaming mode, silent mode. When running heaven benchmark on both oc and gaming I get crashes. But if put on silent mode it runs benchmark just fine.

What GPU did you replace?

Did you full remove your GPU drivers before replacing the card?

If not, try running DDU in safe mod and remove GPU drivers for either NVidia or AMD (depending on the card you came from), ideally both.

Then reboot, and install the latest NVidia driver.

It was a radeon r9, but yes just before original post I did the ddu and removed both the amd and nvidia drivers and reinstalled the most recent nvidia driver.

BIOS update?

Are you monitoring temperatures?

All mobo bios is up to date. Chipset,lan,audio all up to date.
Temp highest I've seen temp get is 71c while running as silent mode in asus tweak and running both heaven and superposition

So with more testing I can run both heaven and superposition with asus tweak on silent but I try and change it to gaming or OC I just get crashes. I have rma available just wondering if that is the best route.
