Currently have an offer to get a 1080 to for £350, wondering whether to wait for next gen or stick with the deal. Card is used and without warranty and I'm using a 144hz 1440p display, generally playing games like pubg or scum. Currently have a 970 and wondering whether to wait for next gen or get a 1080 to, since support will end soon but the specs are goon enough for me for quite a few years from now. I don't really care about ray tracing and I have a 6600k @ 4.8ghz with sufficient memory. My budget is nowhere more than the £350 I'm willing to dish out on the 1080ti.

Solution
I'd say wait since the 1000 series is almost on it's way out. You should be looking at the 2000 series SUPER cards or at the very least AMD's offering. Mind sharing the make and model of your PSU and it's age?
