1080 Ti worth?

Currently running EVGA geforce gtx 1070, but I have quite alot of spare cash to spend, and was eyeballing the 1080 Ti. Not even gonna think about the RTX series cause its just ridiculous, but the 1080 series seems more realistic. Only running games at 1080p, no 4k, should also note that I just got the intel core i7 8700k so i dont have to worry about bottlenecks. Basically, is the Ti worth it, or is the standard 1080 a safer bet for only 1080p gaming?

What kind of monitor are you running and what refresh rate? Unless you are trying to hit 144fps you might as well keep the 1070 for now. It's an excellent card

running the benq GL2460 on 60 hz, but im planning on going 144hz, so thats why i was wondering.

For 1080p a 1080 is all that's needed. A 1070ti would also work.

well the jump from 1070 to 1080 is not really that big maybe while it maybe a little bit was a waste I would go to the 1080 ti if I was upgrading from 1070 just make more sense.
