I got a benq xl-2411 which supports 144 hz thru DVI-D dual link,i managed to get it with hdmi at 720p@120hz,but 1080p runs at 60.

So the problem is my laptop is an del inspiron 7577,i only have a thunderbolt 3 usb type c and HDMI ports.I was thinking about getting a Thunderbolt 3 to mini DP or DP,and an active adapter from miniDP/DP to DVI Dual link.

Do you think ill be able to run 1080p@144hz with this config?

Solution
Should work, HDMI2 was first included with 9xx Nvidia and 1060 definitely has that connection which your laptop has.

Nice monitor.

Heres a discussion on it. Someone with an LG 240Hz monitor is using HDMI2. The other dude stuck at 120Hz has an older GPU with HDMI 1.4.

Dual link dvi adapters are expensive and unreliable at high refresh rates.

Better to return the monitor and get one capable of 120Hz/144Hz over Hdmi.

If laptop transmits video from Thunderbolt, get a monitor with Displayport to use Thunderbolt 3 usbc to Displayport adapter.

Only issue i see possible using Thunderbolt is this connection looks to be hardwired to igpu so probably won't get gpu performance with it.

Better off going Hdmi monitor capable of doing 120Hz/144Hz. Hdmi is capable of it, the capability just needs to be included as with the monitors listed in the link above by Glenwing.

I was able to get 1080p 144 Hz on an AOC G2460PF using that combination, a TB3 to DP adapter combined with a DP to DL-DVI active adapter. However, DP to DL-DVI adapters are very unreliable as mentioned by boju, success will depend a lot on your specific equipment, so there are no guarantees that it will work for you just because it worked for me.

Well what Glenwing has done with his Thunderbolt setup should work (not 100%) or maybe higher chance @ 120Hz maybe. But if this is for gaming you'll want to make sure Thunderbolt can also passthrough graphics card performance and not igpu because performance wont be there to make 120/144Hz worthwhile. Going by that link i posted earlier https://www.dell.com/community/Inspiron/Inspiron-7577-external-monitor-via-thunderbolt/td-p/6045936 looks like it's only igpu.

Best bet would be an Hdmi to DVI duallink active adapter if one exists (And works) for a reasonable price if gaming is your purpose so you can utilise the graphics card. Might be an idea to look at Hdmi to dual link DVI adapters and read buyer reviews on feedback because often those buying these adapters are intending for higher refresh rates as well.

Sadly, doesn't exist. All "HDMI to DL-DVI" adapters are fake.

Not really, other than getting a different monitor. The XL2411Z is a pretty bad value anyway, there are much better monitors for the same price, like the ViewSonic XG2401/XG2402.

So since my thunderbolt 3 îs hardwired to my igpu, the performance would drop significantly? And also if i was to buy lets say a monitor that can do 120hz over HDMI,would my laptop HDMI Work at 1080p@120hz?

Your dell inspiron 7577 is with 1060? Even 1050Ti is significantly faster compared to igpu let alone 1060.

Hdmi capable 120Hz monitor should work and shouldn't be any limitation with the laptop.

I'll let Glenwing answer specifics (he has a fantastic guide on various matters with displays), there may be custom resolutions involved with hdmi so not sure if it'll work immediately.

I do indeed got the 1060 max-q version on my 7577,i know that it would be much faster,i just thought that the dgpu will compute and the igpu will deliver thru the thunderbolt 3,but it seems like even that would be a performance drop,im checking out on some of the 120hz monitors, but do you think will it be a decent upgrade from my benq?I already have csgo run at 120hz on low res,and in other games i dont really reach 120fps,im still looking forwards for opinions. :)

If you manage to get a monitor going at 120Hz there is a significant difference in what you see, not just for gaming but general desktop stuff and browsing too looks much more fluid.

Games that don't reach 120fps but say 85fps you'll still notice a difference.

https://www.pcgarage.ro/monitoare-led/alienware/gaming-aw2518hf-245-inch-1-ms-black-freesync-240hz/ im thinking about buying this one, since it can do 240hz on a HDMI 2.0 cable, and my gpu supports HDMI 2.0,should the port be limited by my laptop?
