Hello everyone! So I was wondering if I should get a 1440p monitor for recording for Youtube. But I really want something above 60hz because I read everywhere that 120hz or higher is amazing for gaming.
So I am stuck, I can't decide which one I should get. I'm not a fast paced gamer, something like ArmA 2 or so is my main game I'd play.

If I go 1440p, what monitor do you recommend?

Setup:
Core i7-4960x 4.4 Ghz
3 way SLI GTX 780 ti
64GB Corsair Dominator Platinum
Asus P9X79 PRO

Solution
I would recommend waiting for a 1440p G-Sync monitor, as that will make the most of your setup, however if you were going to choose a monitor now, I'd recommend a 1080p, 120hz monitor, if not 3 of them in surround.
Well if gaming isn't much of a concern, I'd go with the higher resolution. The downside to going to a higher resolution is that when you game, if your light on the GPU side, you'll have to lower your detail settings.

What about the hz? I read that GSync can fix those hz problems, but I have very little GSync knowledge.

For me I will never buy a monitor < 120Hz and 1080p
If you buy 60Hz, then whats the point from your 3 SLI 780Ti ?

I haven't seen GSync in action, however I've read plenty and from what I've read, it's amazing. Essentially with GSync the graphics card sets the timing and not the monitor, so you don't get tearing which occurs when the graphics card changes the contents of the framebuffer halfway through the monitor displaying the previous frame. A monitor with GSync is still bound by a maximum refresh time and thus a maximum framerate, but you don't get any of the artifacts associated with having VSync shut off.
