I have a asus strix 1070 o8g, I am planning to buy a new monitor and had a budget of around 350$. I am wondering if I should buy a 1440p 60-75hz monitor or should I buy a 1080p 144hz monitor. I play Ark Survival Evolved frequently and run it with epic settings getting around 60 fps. I don't want to hinder the functionality and lower the fps but I still want to be able to see better colors and STILL get the better responsiveness of 144hz. I know I want a 1440p 144hz , but I don't have enough money for it. Anyone have reccomendations

Its all down to personal preference. Personally, I would go for the 1080p 144Hz, as more frames make a game more smooth and enjoyable, but others prefer higher resolution over frame rate. It also depends on how many frames per second your system can handle. If the system can only do 60Fps or less on different settings, then its really not a wise decision to go for something that can do 144Hz if your computer can only do 60Fps. Plus even with the 1070, 1440p at 144Hz is pretty demanding. Again personally, I would go for a 1080p 144Hz monitor.
