1080p 144hz vs 1440p 144hz for GTX 1070

Hi guys i think its the time to dump my 2yrs old 1080p 60hz monitor. So i had a very hard time deciding b/ w 1080p 144hz vs 1440p 144hz for my gtx 1070 and i7 4790k without upgrading the rig .I play every games like the AAA to the esport .So what i had to choose.

1- 1080p 144hz LG -24gm 79g -360 usd
2-1440p 144hz AOC AG 271qx -590 usd

Disagree, while his i7 is not the latest generation its more than enough to drive a GTX 1070 which does 1440p very well, and can clear over 60 fps in many titles at it, making 144hz useful. That said of course 1080p will run smoother and if you're goal is super high framerate than 1080p is the way to go. You'll never get to 144fps (the theoretical max) at 1440p, but that doesn't really matter, as long as its more than 60.

Yes some do. but I wouldn't call one "better" than the other, its personal preference.

okay thank you guys .i got a good deal on AOC AG241QX in local store for 450$ .(which is 140$ less than AG 271qx ). So im gonna stick with 241 qx hope its not too small for 1440p .I mostly play fps so 24' will be ok to focus .Thanks guys Cheers !!

Good choice, your system is fine for 1440p.
