Question 1080p gaming build

Approximate Purchase Date:1 week

Budget Range:2k cheaper the better

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming with GeForce instant replay on at all times

Are you buying a monitor: no

Parts to Upgrade: all

Do you need to buy OS:yes
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any in the US

Location:
Colorado

Parts Preferences: NVidia GPU

Overclocking: no

SLI or Crossfire: no

Your Monitor Resolution: 1080p 144 hz
Additional Comments: no RGB

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: PCs 11 years old and not to his standard.

He wants a pc to play all the new AAA titles at max setting. And to last as long as it can.
IMO he can get maybe 7 + years out of this with a gpu upgrade in 3 years.

Looking for some input ( 2nd option ) on the build I suggest for him

Thanks

That's looks to be a bulletproof build for 1080P ^^

I will just say I’m not certain where that msi psu falls in the tier list exactly, some units similarly named to that seem to be tier c units which is the lower end of where you want to be.

I know it’s 30 bucks but for the amount you are spending, seems like trying to save 30 bucks on a psu is splitting hairs. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise for 1080p that should last a while.

If you did feel like looking at an amd gpu you could try to see if they are doing deals on the 7900 gre.
