Hi All,

Am planning to buy graphics card. I have 1080p monitor. After some research I landed on two choices "GTX 1060" and "GTX 1050Ti". I will play games likes GTA, Far Cry, Crysis, NFS, Call of duty, Prince of Persia, etc..

Now am confused between "GTX 1060 3GB" and "RX 480 4GB". Please suggest me GPU model suitable for my requirement.

Here is my system configuration.

Processor : i5-4690
Motherboard : ASRock H97M Pro4
RAM : G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600
PSU : Corsair VS550 550 Watt

Note : I don't have cooler

I agree with Rob.

The extra 1gb of VRAM and equal or better fps across many titles would push me towards the RX 480. If you were going for a 1060 6GB model, I'd say the 1060 6GB.

Will you prefer 1060 6GB over 480 4gb?

Yes, the 6GB over 4GB is a huge gain, though all in all it's only slightly better than the RX 480. Find a good model that you like of either or, really.

Also consider future monitor upgrades. Will you want 144hz FreeSync or GSync? The RX 480 will support Freesync, which can be found on monitors for as low as $200 range. Gsync (for the 1060), on the other hand, is found on monitors mostly around the $400 mark. Something to consider.
