Hi guys,

I configured this build http://pcpartpicker.com/list/fntJyf for 1080p gaming and light school stuff. I calculated how much all the components will cost me from Amazon and they are in my budget so thats a plus http://imgur.com/a/EB0El. What do you guys think? Thanks a lot :)

Solution

too much wattage, you only need a good 450w ( 520w if you want to upgrade the card later )

and its a bad model to boot

What do you suggest? Keep in my mind I will add extra fans and maybe LED lighting...

That PSU is much more expensive than the one I picked... does it have any other benefits or its just the same as the one I picked just less wattage? Thanks

quality components

the one you picked is cheap because its "guts" are cheap

get something tier 1 or 2 from this list, 500w or better

dont try to cheap out on the heart of your PC:

Solution
For your budget I would recommend these parts, the price is in Australian dollar so with conversion and allowing for the higher Australian price differential it should be the same or very similar to your budget (I hope)

I highly recommend you get an SSD and get a HDD later on when you can afford it, it will be easy to install and the SSD should keep you OK until then, and the PSU is 80+ certified (bronze) so brand isn't a big issue in this regard but the Be Quiet one has a quality fan, my old psu made horrible noises after a year or so and i've been salty ever since

Also: Try and find an 1x8gb stick of RAM rather than 2x4gb so you have room to upgrade in future

If you want to raise your budget let me know and i'll try and re-spec :)

Thanks a lot for your input guys! Much appreciated :) My only concern now is the RX 470... what do you think about? Tbh thats the best graphic card I found with my current budget.. thanks :)
