1080p GTX 1070 or GTX 970 SLI

Hello, i actually have this rig:
Ryzen 5 1500x @4.0ghz
16gb Crucial Ballistix @3200Mhz
MSI X370 Krait Gaming
x2 GTX 970 Asus Strix OC 4gb

A person from my job is selling his GTX 1070 and he asked me if I want to trade my x2 970 + 80usd for his 1070...
I saw many benchs and Its actually a downgrade, since my 970 sli give more fps in many games than the 1070.
Im not planning to play 4k or 2k in near future, actually im playing at 1366x768 and gonna buy 144hz (im just interested in 144hz for CS:GO) 1ms 1080p monitor soon.
The question is, should i trade my 2 970+80 usd for his single 1070? or should i stay with my currents gpus?

Sell the 2 970 and get the gtx 1070 .Saves lotta power and scalling issues .If it scales good ,then 970 sli may be 5 to 10% faster than 1070 ,but 1070 is better in all aspects

If it's just a sidegrade, you shouldn't be paying $80 for the privilege. At some point, 1070 prices are going to stop being ridiculous. And the 2000 series cards are probably due soon. The 1070 was released back in June of 2016. If you can, I would hold out for a major upgrade. Either when card prices come down, or new models get released.

There won't be any newer cards until q3 2018 ,but trade the 2 970's and upto 50$ in exchange. even if u upgrade after a year ,the gtx 1070 can be sold for some good price .but in case of 970s i doubt that

If you're interested in only CS:GO 1366x768@144Hz, then just sell one of your GTX970. Single GTX 970 is perfectly capable of doing that. GTX 1070 for CS:GO is total overkill.
