Hello All,

I recently purchased a new monitor and pc with the hopes of being able to play games at 1080p and 144hz. I have an asus mg248q monitor and my graphics card is a gtx 1070 ftw edition connected to the monitor via displayport. Both products advertise 1080p 144hz gameplay. However, when i go into the nvidia control panel/change resolution, under Ultra HD 1920x1080 is only listed at 60, 59, and 50 hz. I have tried adding a custom resolution at 144hz but it always switches back to 720p, not 1080p. I can get 144hz no problem at 720p, but not 1080p. Is their a fix to my problem/ or am i messing up?

Any help will be much appreciated.

You got an AMD freesync monitor for a GTX 1070? Kinda odd.

go into the monitor settings and see if there are any options. Disable freesync and any other settings that don't look needed. Then if there are any settings regarding the Refresh Rate or OC - enable those.

Your card, cable, and monitor are all rated for 144hz and it should work...
