I cant find a tv forum I wondering if their are any techies here? I am debating buying a 4k television UN50TU8000FXZC (its a canadian one, if that matters) and I am wondering how does the 1080p look? do upscalers work well? does this tv have a good upscaler or even have one at all? I cant find true confirmation on google kinda goes both ways but I feel like a lot of people have said 1080p looks worse on their new 4k tv. is that true?

1080p looks very good on 4k screen. Each pixel from 1080p image translates to 2x2 pixels on 4k. No blurriness whatsoever. Perfect translation.
Same thing for 720p on 4k screen. Each pixel from 720p translates to 3x3 pixels on 4k. Also perfect translation.
Anything other than those 2 resolutions will result in blurred image.
I would say Yes. What is the source? cable or over the air the TV will up scale if source is a compter - computer will upscale to its max resolution and Tv will do the rest if necessary.
