Hey guys, I recently sold my 24 inch 1440p 144hz monitor and Im looking to upgrade.

Can anyone answer me if 1080p on a 27 inch monitor really that bad? I've been seeing reviews of people saying they can see it sort of pixelated on the screen because of the huge display only at 1080p.

Any input is aprpeciated

I had a 27” 1080p and regretted it. It was ok for games and video but the lack of sharpness I found annoying when reviewing text or static images. This made working in Excel, Word and browsing the web annoying to me. I would not call it pixelated, more a lack of sharpness. I now use a 1440p 27” and it is much better, really nice combination.

You were exposed to having a monitor that a higher pixel count, 27" @ 1440p, so you might find a 1080p monitor to be lackluster but no it won't be pixelated. I've recommended a 27" for a senior friend of mine and he's been super happy with it however he moved up from a 24: panel as opposed to you moving down in the pecking order.

Hello!
My best guess is that the reviewers are just staying too close to the monitor itself. As I am writing this I'm using a 27" 1080p monitor, my friend has 27" 1080p monitor and 32" 1080p TV and I haven't noticed any lack of sharpness or whatever in mine or his. You need to be at least 1m-1.5m away for eye safety since it's a big screen. The bigger the screen, the farther you need to be.
Then again as a heads up - I have an AMD GPU and I have Radeon Sharpening - ON and moving from Nvidia to AMD it really does provide a lot of sharpness to image and graphics - especially noticable in older games.
I hope this helps!

Well not so much as moving down but Im not seeing a lot of 27 inch 1440p 144hz/240hz monitors in my budget thats why im considering the 27 144hz 1080p ones

It all depends on what you are accustom to to using going from a 24" 1440p to a 27" 1080p is going to look like crap for a while at least.

From my personal experience, I feel comfortable using a 27' at 1080p. I had an LG 27 GL650F for more than a year, never had issue with the pixel density. 32' at 1080p is defo pixelated for me tho (from my exp with the LG 32 in 2k but changed setting to 1080p).
