So recently upgraded to an RTX 2060 (just a regular 6GB version) and I'm looking at grabbing a new monitor as well.

The two monitors I'm looking at are the Acer KG271A or the Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD.
Both 27", both 144Hz, only differences being the Acer is a 1080p and the Viewsonic is 1440p with Adaptive Sync.
The Acer will cost me around $325AUD and the Viewsonic $449AUD.

The games I mainly play are Blizzard games, grand strategies by like Paradox Interactive etc, I play Escape from Tarkov, and that's really it to be honest, most AAA stuff I pickup on my PS4 so I doesn't need to be run on my PC.

Just curious what would be best for my current hardware which is the RTX 2060 coupled with a Ryzen 5 2600 and 16GB 2400MHz RAM.

I just don't want to spend the money on the Viewsonic to find that my computer can't even really utilise it.

If you're trying to take advantage of the 144hz refresh rate then the 1080p model.

Alright easy, I've just never had a 144hz before and I've got a mate who raves about the one he has (which is actually the Acer listed in OP), but then just saw a Reddit post about not throttling your PC with a crap monitor and someone posted with that Viewsonic.

Thanks for the clear and concise answer.
