I have bought a HP Z620 workstation with dual CPU E5 2660 (this cpu has no graphic processing unit) and NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti. The graphic card support 4K but in the windows setting I cannot select more than 1080p. Would you please let me know how can I fix that?

I connect it to a 4K LG TV (model is LG 43UJ6200 43"). I connected this TV to my laptop (i5-6200U) and the setting can reach 4K resolution without any problem.

Thank you so much in advance, really appreciate it,
Best,

You could also try creating a custom resolution in NVIDIA Control Panel, if both GPU and monitor/TV support it it should work just fine. 4K is 3840 x 2160. For this, you open the Change resolution in Nvidia Control Panel, click on Customize, then Create Custom Resolution. There, you enter the horizontal pixels as 3840, and vertical lines as 2160, leave the rest as it is, then test it. If it doesn't work, your TV will go blank and will restore back to 1080p in a few seconds, just don't try to click anything blindly. If it works, well, you'll have 4K.
Try enabling "Virtual Resolution" or "Ultra Resolution" I don't know what is it called in NVIDIA Since I currently have AMD/Radeon Setup.
Those Settings should be in your NVIDIA Control panel Resolution settings

Check what the TV is detected as in the NVIDIA control panel; I recall that when I first go it my LG B6 had issues being picked up properly. If the TV isn't correctly detected, you won't have access to all the resolution options.

Setting the TV input to PC also helps with stuff like this.

Thanks to all of you. Yes, I managed to force it to have 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution but the quality of the texts and some of the details on the icons and are really bad, maybe below 1080.

I have tried to change the color setting and brightness but it is far from ideal. In the Nvidia setting I have put the frame rate az 45 or 59 and realized it can't be increased to 60 as the screen crashes

It the windows 10 it shows

Desktop resolution 3840x2160
Active signal resolution 1920X1080
refresh rate 30 Hz
Bit depth 12-bit
color format RGB
Color space standard dynamic range (SDR)

Any idea what might be the reason and how to fix it. Thank you so much for your help and time, truly appreciate it.

Thank you very much. It is now 4K but the quality is very bad. Please see my reply ... Thank you.
