1080p resolution on UHD 4K laptop monitor blurr

Hey guys, I'm using a dell xps 15 9650 maxed out with a UHD resolution screen.

I bought this PC because of the extra sharp display and soon found that programs and in program icons and menu dont scale properly.

So searching over the internet I found that running the machine on 1080p is probably the best fix for this.

The problem however is that whenever I set the display to 1080p everything becomes blurry and the sharpness that appealed to me originally vanishes.

Now I've read previous answers on this forum related to interpolation and stuff but I just need to know whether there is an actuall fix for the blurr after switching to 1080p.

Hope someones knows a work around for this.

Not really, it's just a consequence of running non-native resolution.
