Hello,

I am trying to get set up with a monitor that i can game on but also use as a TV to watch netflix with my wife.

How does 1080p content like Netflix look on a 1440p monitor?

I couldn't find any 32" 1080p monitors really that had 144hz, 1080p, and weren't curved.

So i am looking at 1440p now and am worried Netflix will look like crap.

Thanks

Looks OK to me, no obvious pixelisation. BUT compared to on the app on a smart TV it's a little juddery. That's on a 27inch about 18inches away from my face.
3570k, gtx970,
Thanks for doing that. Hmm, so tough to pick, i wish i knew someone with a 1440p so i could see it in person. To give some background i am disabled with a bad back, so when i game or watch movies it is easiest laying in bed. Also the screen will be on a mobile stand with wheels to move around.

Trying to make 1 monitor work for all my needs is proving to be difficult thanks to all the resolutions out right now and 144hz. Most streaming stuff out is in 1080p still, like netflix which looks bad on 4k and 1440p upscaled. And they don't make 1080p monitors in 32 inch really because of the bad PPI.

So i either use a 27 inch 1080p 144hz monitor which will work for games, not quite as good as 1440p though, and work great for movies/tv quality wise because it is 1080p with no scaling. But also may be a bit small to watch movies 5-6 feet away.

Or use a 32 inch 1440p 144hz which will play games great and be big enough to watch for movies, but potentially look not so great for watching movies quality wise because of the 1080p to 1440p scaling.
