I have no clue what 1080p gaming and 1440p gaming is. Is it to do with my monitor? Can it be changed? I don't know either getting a graphics card which is aimed towards 1080p or 1440p. Thanks.
1080p and 1440p are resolutions for your monitor. 1080p is 1920x1080 whereas 1440p is 2560x1440. The higher the resolution the more pixel on the monitor which means you need a more powerful GPU to drive games at that resolution. A 1440p can be used to display games at 1080p, but a 1080p monitor cannot display a game at 1440p as that is beyond the number of pixels it has.
Do you know the brand and model of your monitor? What games do you typically play? If so please let us know so we can research what it is and give you a recommendation...
